I know waaaay less than the awesome parents running this event, but the Sidewalk Sale made a surprising amount of money. We coordinated the sidewalk sale on the same day as the Fall Fest (the latter was school-only, the sidewalk sale was open to all), which meant we had all of the Fall Fest traffic as well as local neighborhood traffic. For the two weeks prior, we had parents donate all their clutter and stuff they no longer wanted, set it out on the sidewalk sale, priced it very cheaply, and we made about 4 times what we expected. It was amazing. Little to no expense setting it up, but people love to buy stuff!
