Next up in the Halloween cupcake-a-thon week: Googly-eyed monster cupcakes. Or really, just cupcakes with candy eyes thrown on them. Pretty dang easy. You know how much I love candy eyes. These would also work well with Electric Green frosting.

how to make monster cupcakes for halloween
you will need:
- Cupcakes
Frosting
Food coloring
Disposable decorating bag
Size “1M” decorating tip
Rubber band
Candy eyes
*Find the food coloring, decorating bag, decorating tip and candy eyes in the craft store. Choose any color food coloring (purple used here).
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare your favorite cupcakes according to the recipe and let cool completely.
Step 2: Prepare frosting according to your favorite recipe, or, use store-bought frosting. (TIP: To thicken store-bought frosting so it’s easier to pipe, stir in confectioner’s sugar until the desired consistency is reached.) Tint the frosting your preferred color. Fit a decorating bag with the tip, fill with frosting, and close tightly with a rubber band.
Step 3: Working with one cupcake at a time, pipe a swirl of frosting on top of the cupcake and immediately attach several eyes.
