air fryer carrots
My daughter’s review of these air fryer carrots: “I LOVE them!” And she doesn’t say this often with food that isn’t sugar-based.
I adore my air fryer for quick weeknight recipes. These carrots take minutes to make. Slightly sweet, full of flavor, and a divine texture, they’re my new favorite side dish. I’m absolutely making these for Easter dinner, too. If you don’t have an air fryer, not to worry, you can use your oven, too.

how to make air fryer carrots
you will need:
- 1 pound baby carrots
- Ghee cooking spray or olive oil cooking spray
- 2 to 3 pinches coarse sea salt (about 1/4 teaspoon)
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
what to do:
Place the carrots in a bowl. Spray evenly with Ghee or olive oil. Sprinkle with 2 pinches of coarse sea salt, the nutmeg, and the cinnamon. Drizzle the maple syrup over the carrots and stir to coat.
Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees F for 3 minutes. Add the carrots. Set the timer for 15 minutes.
Shake the basket every few minutes. At the 8 or 9 minute mark, open the basket, give the carrots a quick spray with the ghee or olive oil, add another pinch of salt, and shake a bit more nutmeg and cinnamon over the top.
Cook for 10 to 15 minutes total, or until desired tenderness. I prefer carrots that are cooked until a fork can pierce the carrot with only a little resistance.
oven directions:
Prepare the carrots above. Scatter on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Roast in a preheated 425 degree F oven about 15 minutes, or to desired tenderness.
