Vodka boozy fudge
Every time I make a new boozy fudge shot I think, OK, this one is my favorite. They just get better and better with every liquor. Seriously. Now vodka boozy fudge is my favorite. Just to recap, so far we have:
Because the taste of vodka tends to disappear a bit, compared to the other fudge shots, the vodka fudge is a big less strong. You still get the taste of vodka, but with less potency, so this might be a good boozy fudge to start with for newbies to the fudge shot world.
This is the absolute perfect party dessert. Three-ingredients, if you don’t count the toppings, which are always optional. Minutes to make. Conversation piece. Loved by all (grown-ups who are allowed to drink). Oh yeah, and delicious. Addictive. And delicious. Creamy perfect fudge filled with booze. That’s all we need. And since I keep making this stuff, I seem to be making more and more friends.
The written recipe is below, but here is a visual:
how to make boozy vodka fudge with orange zest
you will need:
1 (12 ounce) package (2 cups) of semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 pounds (about 8 cups) confectioner’s sugar
1 cup vodka
zest of 2 large oranges (optional)
what to do:
Line a 9 x 13 inch baking pan with parchment paper. Crease the edges so the sides are also lined and you can later use the parchment paper to lift the fudge out of the pan. If necessary, snip the corners of the paper with scissors.
Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 90 seconds at 70 percent power. Stir and continue to melt at 30 second, then 15 second, intervals just until melted, stirring well each time.
While the chocolate is melting, place the confectioner’s sugar in a large bowl. Whisk the vodka into the sugar. The mixture will look like icing.
When the chocolate is melted, quickly pour the chocolate into the sugar and vodka mixture and stir very well. Scrape the chocolate, vodka and sugar mixture into the prepared baking pan. Spread evenly.
If using, sprinkle orange zest on top and gently press into the fudge.
Let the fudge set at room temperature just until firm, about 30 minutes. Lift from the pan and cut into squares. Let set fully for another hour. If the fudge is still too soft, place in the refrigerator to firm.
Makes 60 one-inch pieces.

Can’t wait to make it! How long will the fudge last in the fridge (assuming I don’t eat it!) ?
meaghanmountford says
Ha, KW, it’s best within 3 days, but off the record, I’ve had some up to 2 weeks later and it still rocked. But that just seems like way too long to let it go. So I’d say definitely one week.
veronica bellotti says
Can I use white chocolate chips or white chocolate bar instead?
meaghanmountford says
Hi Veronica, Yes! Absolutely.
Veronica Bellotti says
Haha, after asking, I saw the white chocolate fudge with festive sprinklers on top, so that will be my go to recipe now. Thanks.
