Baby Yoda marshmallows! Easy to make. Cute as can be. Perfect Star Wars food.
Is there a soul left on Earth NOT smitten with the cutest Jedi ever on The Mandalorian (the new TV series set in the Star Wars universe five years after the fall of the Empire in Return of the Jedi)?
Even those of us without Disney adore Baby Yoda, or rather, the Yoda-species baby we all took the liberty of naming “Baby Yoda.”

how to make Baby Yoda marshmallows
you will need:
- marshmallows
- green candy melts
- disposable decorating bag
- Jumbo candy eyes
- lollipop sticks
- black food coloring
- paint brush
optional:
- EZ Thins
- white icing with small tip
- Wilton candy melting pot
step one: Prepare the candy eyes
Line a work space with parchment or wax paper. Add a drop of food coloring to the paper. Turn the jumbo candy eyes upside down. Paint the eyes black and let dry. Pipe a highlight with white icing, if desired.
Here, I use my royal icing tinted white with a size 2 tip. You may also purchase a tube of white pre-made icing.
step two: melt the candy melts
Place about a cup of green candy melts in the Wilton candy melting pot with a pinch or two of EZ Thins. Turn on high and let sit, stirring occasionally, until fully melted.
Alternatively, melt the candy melts and EZ Thins in the microwave at 70 percent power for 90 seconds. Stir, using the residual heat to fully melt the candy, and continue to microwave, if needed.
The benefit of the Wilton pot is that you can keep your candy melts from hardening while you’re working.
step three: prepare the ears
Line a tray with wax or parchment paper. Spoon melted candy melts in the disposable decorating bag. (Or, follow the instructions above to melt directly in the bag.) Snip the tip and pipe Yoda ears. Let fully set, about 30 minutes.
step four: assemble your Yodas
Dip the tip of a lollipop stick in the melts and insert into the long side of a marshmallow. Let set.
Line a tray with wax or parchment paper. Place the ears on the tray. Dip the entire marshmallow into the candy melts and tap the stick on the side of the bowl to remove excess. Place over a set of ears.
Top with the eyes. (Let the candy set a bit before adding the eyes so they don’t slide off.)
Let fully set, 30 to 60 minutes, before removing from the tray.
