Even though this cookbook is brand spanking new, it brings me back many years. Because that is how long I’ve known and admired and adored Bridget Edwards of Bake at 350. She is clever cookie perfection. And so is her latest book, Decorating Cookies PARTY, published by Lark Crafts.
If you want to seriously impress at your next shindig… Decorating Cookies Party opens with all the cookie decorating basics you need and includes five cookie recipes (including pink lemonade and gluten-free chocolate! those need an exclamation point), as well as a bonus bit on hosting a cookie decorating party. Ten themed party ideas and 50 different cookie designs fill the pages. You’ve got birthday party, book club, garden party, monster mash-up, outer space, princess, tailgate, under the sea, and baby.
Here’s a little peek inside at a birthday party. They are simple but clever, and easy to recreate with Bridget’s guidance. And you can mix up the colors and numbers for anyone’s birthday. Each of the party themes is just as versatile.
And now… the GIVEAWAY!!

I love the ideas shown on your page. You are very clever and talented. I too love to make cookies, especially cut-out decorated cookies, but I am also good at others like biscotti. My challenge this year has been to move my cookies to a gluten free scenario. I have been very successful in using Bette Hagman’s recipe for Sugar Cookies. I have actually made a Spice and Chocolate version of these as well. Hope I win the book. Thanks for the site!
