Make quick and easy emoji candy using the silicone lollipop mold. These chocolate pops are perfect for an emoji party
Emoji candy
I’m loving these emoji candy pops. You all know how much I love to make candy and chocolate pops, right? I melt candy melts or chocolate, pipe them from decorating bags, and add decorations. They are the cutest and easiest treats to make ever in the universe.
I’ve made zombies, melting snowmen, even rainbows. But now… expect a whole lot more. I found my new favorite kitchen tool, and it makes perfect candy pops. Hence, these easy emoji candy pops. The tool? This silicone lollipop mold.
tips to make candy lollipops
Pipe melted candy melts into the cavities, add the stick, let the candy harden for 30 minutes or so, and they pop right out.
Flip over the pops and the surface is perfectly smooth and a perfect circle.
The sticks that come with the mold are small and narrow in diameter. I prefer longer sticks, so I used these 6-inch lollipop sticks. The diameter is a bit bigger than the stick cavity, but it works if you sort of jam it in there.
Once you make your candy pops and they set, simply add sprinkles and candy eyes (with dabs of light corn syrup as glue) and paint the faces with black candy color.
As much as I love my food markers, they just don’t work well on candy melts. And regular food coloring may work here, but candy color is oil-based, and it adheres so beautifully to candy melts, it’s the best choice.
how to make easy emoji candy pops
you will need:*
- yellow candy melts
- disposable decorating bags
- silicone lollipop mold
- 6-inch lollipop sticks (see note below)
- black candy color
- liner-size paint brush
- heart sprinkles
- candy eyes
- tear sprinkles
- light corn syrup
*Find all of the above in the craft store (the mold may not be available.) The mold comes with small lollipop sticks. I bought the 6-inch sticks because I like them better. They are a bit big for the mold, but still work. I found a sprinkle kit at the craft store that contained hearts, eyes, and tear drops.
make your emoji candy:
Pour some yellow candy melts (about 1/2 cup) into a disposable decorating bag. Microwave at 70 percent power for 90 seconds.
Massage the bag and continue to microwave, if needed, at 15 second intervals until the candy melts are almost melted. Massage the bag to use the residual heat to completely melt the candy. You may also melt the candy in a microwave-safe bowl and pour into the bag. Snip the tip.
Pipe to fill the mold’s cavities (1/2 cup of candy melts will make six pops). Insert the lollipop sticks and turn a bit to coat. If you are not using the supplied sticks and using 6-inch lollipop sticks, you’ll have to jam them a bit to fit. Let set fully, at least 30 minutes.
Remove from the cavities and decorate! Use the liner brush to paint black candy color designs. To adhere the sprinkles, use a toothpick to dab light corn syrup on the sprinkles. Let the corn syrup set well.

Where did you get the sprinkle kit with the teardrops? What company make them?

Hi Janet, I LOVE the kit! It comes with mustaches, sprinkles, eyes, hearts… I think it’s a Wilton kit, but I haven’t had luck finding it on their site or amazon. I got my kit at Michael’s craft store, and I’ve seen them there recently.
