These cutie pies (and by “pies” I mean “marshmallows”) are just the right addition to your Christmas table. Or winter table. Or gingerbread table. Or whatever. Even though there isn’t any gingerbread in them. Gingerbread man marshmallows are pretty gosh darn adorable, huh?
Next I’ll have to make gingerbread house marshmallows to go with the gingerbread men marshmallows.

how to make gingerbread man marshmallows
you will need:*
10 marshmallows
10 lollipop sticks
1 cup light brown candy melts (peanut butter flavor used here)
1 tablespoon shortening
candy eyes
confetti sprinkles
white decorating icing with a small round tip
Styrofoam block
*Find the lollipop sticks, candy melts, candy eyes, sprinkle, icing and Styrofoam block in the craft store. You can also use your own white icing in a decorating bag with a size 2 tip. Tips on finding supplies. See below for Links.

You may purchase a tube of white decorator icing, or prepare royal icing, tint it with white food coloring, and assemble a decorating bag with size 2 tip.
what to do:
Place about a cup of candy melts in a microwave-safe container with the shortening. Microwave for 90 seconds at 70 percent power. Stir and continue to microwave at 30 second, then 15 second, intervals until fully melted and smooth when well stirred.
Dip the lollipop sticks into the melts and insert into the marshmallows.
When set, dip the marshmallows into the candy melts, tap the stick on the side of the container to remove excess, and prop the marshmallow in the Styrofoam block.
When the candy melts are still wet, add the candy eyes.
When the candy melts have fully set, decorate. Add dabs of icing to confetti sprinkles to adhere as the rosy cheeks and candy eyes. Pipe a nose and mouth. Pipe squiggles on top of the marshmallows. Let dry.

Hi Sandra, I found them at Michaels with the rest of the candy melts. But it may be a flavor the craft store doesn’t always carry? Found them on amazon, but should be cheaper at the craft store if they have them.
