T-shirt bracelet 

Heading out for the night? Or just want a statement piece to dress up your outfit?

Or, work from home, wear leggings and sweatshirts, only leave the house to pick up the kids from school, and then drink wine and watch Netflix all night but you still want to have a nice bracelet dangnabbit?

(Whoa, where did that come from?)

All you need to make a bold bracelet is a T-shirt, some scissors and a pin or brooch. Oh, and about two minutes, because that’s how long it takes to make a no-sew T-shirt bracelet. With the scraps, you can also make a T-shirt ring. 

If all of your tees are your favorites and you can’t possibly take scissors to them, I made buy colorful T-shirts from Michaels craft store for about $3 each. One bracelet will only need a little bit of the fabric, so you can save the rest of the tee for another project.

Here’s a quick video with the how-tos. Don’t worry. It’s the easiest thing ever. This would also be a great project for kids for a slumber party or birthday party craft.

TIP: Don’t have a pin or brooch you like?

Use a hot glue gun to attach a decorative piece (here I use a ceramic flower that broke off of something, although I forget what it broke off of, and a fabric flower sticker from the craft store) to a little brooch clip (available in the jewelry section of the craft store).

how to make no-sew T-shirt bracelets

you will need:

T-shirt*
scissors
pin or brooch

*The size of the T-shirt will determine how many times the bracelet fits around your wrist. I used a Women’s Small here. For a bracelet that wraps around less, try a Youth small.

what to do:

Use the scissors to cut the hem off of the bottom of the shirt. You do not need this piece. Next, cut about an inch strip from the bottom of the tee. Open this strip. You’ll have a fabric oval. Pull on the fabric oval to stretch the fabric. It will look more ropy. Wrap the ropy piece around your wrist and attach a brooch. That’s it!! See above for how-tos on making your own pin or brooch.
