My five year old is really into all things gold and metallics, so I sort of also made these for her. And yes, she will be up until midnight on New Year’s Eve. My kids always are, because they are mini-teenagers already.

how to make gold New Year’s Eve marshmallow pops
you will need:*
- marshmallows
- lollipop sticks
- gold sprinkles
- Styrofoam block
- bright white candy melts
* You can also find sprinkles, candy melts, lollipop sticks, and Styrofoam blocks at the craft store.
what to do:
Skewer marshmallows with sticks and set aside.
Pour some candy melts in a bowl and melt according to package directions. (I like to melt at 70 percent power for 90 seconds, stir, and continue to microwave at 15 second intervals until the residual heat is enough to fully melt the candy when stirring.)
Dip the marshmallow in the candy melts, tap the stick on the bowl to remove excess, and immediately coat with sprinkles. Prop in the Styrofoam to fully set, about 1 hour.
