Seconds to make, you can whip up a whole bowl for a Valentine’s Day classroom party, or tuck one or two pieces in your kid’s lunch box.
Wrap each piece of fruit in a cellophane bag with ribbon and attach cards with puns such as “You’re a-peeling,” “You’re a cutie!” and “I pick you!” (HINT: Check out this huge collection of DIY Valentine’s Day card ideas.)

how to make fruit Valentine’s Day snacks
you will need:
- fruit (oranges, banana, kiwi, apples…)
- heart sprinkles
- icing with a small tip
- black food writer
TIP: I used my own royal icing with a size 3 tip, but feel free to use a store-bought tube of icing from the supermarket. Or, dab store-bought frosting on the sprinkles with a toothpick.

Use dabs of icing on clean, dry fruit to adhere heart sprinkles for eyes. Add a mouth with the food writer. Let set. That’s it!
